STUDENT CODE OF CONDUCT – NIDE
IMPORTANT NOTICE AND ACCEPTANCE
By enrolling in, joining, attending or continuing to participate in any programme or activity conducted by the National Institute of Digital Education (“NIDE”), the student acknowledges that they are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to comply with this Student Code of Conduct, together with the applicable NIDE Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Placement Assurance & Placement Guarantee Policy and other applicable academic, administrative and institutional policies. Compliance with these policies is a condition of the student’s continued enrolment and participation in the programme.
By accepting admission/enrolment with NIDE, the student agrees to maintain the standards of academic integrity, professional conduct, respectful behaviour, confidentiality and responsible participation prescribed by NIDE. The student further acknowledges that any violation of this Code or other applicable NIDE policies may result in appropriate academic, administrative, disciplinary or placement-related action, including suspension or termination of enrolment/admission in cases of serious or repeated misconduct, subject to applicable law and NIDE’s applicable procedures.
No separate signature, declaration or acknowledgement shall be necessary for this Code to apply where the student’s enrolment/admission with NIDE has been accepted subject to the applicable NIDE policies.
1. Purpose and Scope
1.1 This Student Code of Conduct (“Code”) establishes the standards of academic, professional, ethical and personal conduct expected from every student enrolled with NIDE.
1.2 The purpose of this Code is to maintain a safe, respectful, professional and academically honest learning environment and to protect the legitimate academic, operational, commercial, reputational and professional interests of NIDE and persons and organisations associated with NIDE.
1.3 This Code applies throughout the student’s association with NIDE, including live classes, practical sessions, workshops, assessments, examinations, projects, internships, placement activities, counselling sessions, events, student communities, official communication channels and other academic or administrative activities.
1.4 This Code applies to conduct occurring physically or through online platforms, including NIDE’s LMS, student portal, WhatsApp groups, email, video-conferencing platforms, social-media platforms, online communities and other digital or communication channels, where such conduct has a reasonable connection with NIDE, its students, faculty, staff, clients, employers, academic partners, certification partners or other associated organisations.
1.5 This Code shall be read together with NIDE’s Admission Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Placement Assurance & Placement Guarantee Policy, Attendance Policy, Assessment Rules, Academic Policies, Privacy Policy and other applicable NIDE policies, procedures and programme requirements.
2. Student Responsibilities
2.1 Every student is expected to act honestly, responsibly, respectfully and professionally throughout their association with NIDE.

4.2 Students shall appropriately acknowledge sources, references, quotations, data, images, research material and other third-party contributions.
4.3 NIDE may use reasonable methods, including plagiarism/similarity detection tools, source verification, oral questioning, practical verification, document comparison or other appropriate methods to assess originality and authenticity.
4.4 A similarity percentage alone shall not necessarily establish plagiarism. NIDE may consider the nature, context, source, attribution and circumstances of the similarity.
4.5 Where plagiarism or academic misconduct is established, NIDE may impose appropriate academic or disciplinary consequences, including requiring resubmission, awarding zero or reduced marks, withholding assessment completion, restricting participation, suspension or termination of enrolment, depending on the seriousness and circumstances.
4.6 Repeated or deliberate plagiarism, purchased academic work, impersonation, systematic academic fraud or deliberate falsification of academic evidence may be treated as serious misconduct and may constitute grounds for termination of enrolment.

7. Classroom and Online Learning Conduct
7.1 Students shall maintain a professional, respectful and productive learning environment.

17.5 Students shall communicate professionally with prospective employers and shall not deliberately damage NIDE’s relationship with an employer.
17.6 Deliberately sabotaging an interview, providing false information, repeatedly failing to attend interviews without reasonable justification or deliberately obstructing the placement process may constitute misconduct and may affect placement eligibility.

18.1 Students shall communicate honestly and professionally with employers and recruiters.
18.2 Students must promptly inform NIDE of material developments concerning applications, interviews, offers, joining dates and employment status where relevant to placement administration.

22. Protection of NIDE’s Reputation and Goodwill
22.1 Students shall not knowingly or intentionally engage in unlawful, malicious, fraudulent or materially deceptive conduct intended to cause unjustified harm to the reputation, goodwill, professional relationships or legitimate business interests of NIDE.
22.2 Students shall not knowingly make, publish, circulate, forward, endorse or assist in publishing false, fabricated, materially misleading or deceptive statements concerning NIDE, its management, faculty, employees, programmes, services, certifications, placement activities, operations or business relationships.

k. engaging in other unlawful conduct intended to cause material reputational, financial or operational harm.
22.4 Students shall not falsely represent that NIDE has made a commitment, guarantee, admission, refund decision, placement commitment, certification decision or other undertaking that NIDE has not actually made.
23. Academic, Certification and Institutional Partners
23.1 NIDE may maintain academic, certification, institutional, university, industry and other professional relationships with third parties.
23.2 Students shall not knowingly make false, fabricated or materially misleading statements concerning NIDE’s relationship with any academic, certification, university, institutional or industry partner.
23.3 Students shall not falsely claim that a partner has endorsed a complaint, rejected or terminated NIDE’s relationship, withdrawn or suspended certification, approved or rejected a particular student outcome, guaranteed a placement or refund, or made any other decision that it has not actually made.
23.4 Students shall not misuse, reproduce or falsely display the name, logo, trademark, certification mark or branding of NIDE’s academic, certification or institutional partners.
23.5 Students shall not falsely represent themselves as an employee, representative, authorised agent or official spokesperson of an NIDE partner.
23.6 Students shall not create documents, advertisements, websites, social-media pages, certificates, letters or other materials that falsely appear to have been issued, approved or authorised by NIDE or any of its partners.
24. Unauthorised Contact, Escalation and Partner Misuse
24.1 Students are expected to use NIDE’s designated administrative and grievance channels for academic, financial, placement and other student concerns.
24.2 Students shall not deliberately bypass established grievance or administrative channels by repeatedly contacting, messaging, tagging or approaching NIDE’s academic, certification or institutional partners for the purpose of creating pressure, embarrassment, reputational harm, disruption or coercion.
24.3 Students shall not deliberately involve NIDE’s partners in ordinary student disputes for the purpose of pressuring NIDE into providing an outcome that is not otherwise required under applicable policy or law.
24.4 Nothing in this section prevents a student from contacting an external organisation where the student has an independent legal right or legitimate reason to do so, or where contact is required or permitted by applicable law, regulatory procedure, court process or the organisation’s formal grievance mechanism.
24.5 Where a student communicates with an academic, certification or institutional partner concerning NIDE, the student must provide truthful and accurate information and must not knowingly submit fabricated evidence or materially misleading information.
25. Social Media and Public Platforms
25.1 Students may express their personal views, experiences and opinions concerning NIDE, provided that such expression is lawful and does not involve prohibited conduct under this Code.
25.2 Students shall not knowingly publish or circulate fabricated reviews, fake testimonials, manipulated screenshots, false allegations, impersonation accounts or deceptive content concerning NIDE or its associated persons or organisations.
25.3 Students shall not deliberately coordinate false reviews, ratings, posts, comments or campaigns for the purpose of artificially damaging NIDE’s reputation or commercial relationships.
25.4 Students shall not publish private correspondence, personal information, confidential documents, recordings or internal communications belonging to NIDE, its faculty, staff, students, clients, employers or partners without appropriate authority or lawful basis.
25.5 Students shall not use NIDE’s name, logo, partner names, certification marks or university branding to create misleading websites, social-media pages, groups, advertisements, petitions, fundraising campaigns or other public-facing materials.
25.6 Where a student’s conduct on a public or private digital platform has a substantial and reasonably identifiable connection with NIDE and involves harassment, threats, fraud, impersonation, confidentiality violations, deliberate deception or other prohibited conduct, NIDE may treat such conduct as a violation of this Code.
26. Genuine Complaints and Lawful Criticism
26.1 Nothing in this Code prevents a student from raising a genuine complaint, concern, grievance or dispute through an appropriate internal or external mechanism.
26.2 A genuine complaint, good-faith review, fair opinion, factual statement supported by reasonable evidence or lawful exercise of a student’s rights shall not, by itself, constitute misconduct merely because it is critical of NIDE.
26.3 Students may approach competent regulators, consumer forums, courts, statutory authorities, grievance bodies, law-enforcement authorities or other competent institutions where they have a lawful basis to do so.
26.4 Students are expected to provide truthful and accurate information when making formal complaints or representations.
26.5 Knowingly submitting fabricated evidence, materially false information or deliberately misleading statements to NIDE, a regulator, court, statutory authority, academic partner, certification partner or other competent body may constitute serious misconduct, without prejudice to any independent legal consequences.
26.6 NIDE shall not take disciplinary action merely because a student has exercised a genuine legal or statutory right to raise a complaint or seek a lawful remedy.
27. Protection of Brand and Intellectual Property
27.1 NIDE’s name, trademarks, logos, programme names, proprietary materials and other intellectual property shall not be used without appropriate authorisation.
27.2 Students shall not use the name, logo, trademark, certification mark, university name or branding of an NIDE academic, certification or institutional partner in a manner that falsely implies official representation, endorsement, employment, institutional authority, independent certification authority or any commitment or approval not expressly provided.
27.3 Students shall not create or distribute fake certificates, letters, identity documents, partnership documents, employment documents or other materials purporting to originate from NIDE or an NIDE partner.

p. deliberate conduct causing substantial financial, operational, security or reputational harm; or
q. any other conduct that materially threatens the safety, integrity, security or legitimate interests of NIDE or another person.
29. Reporting of Misconduct
29.1 Students, faculty, staff or other persons may report suspected violations of this Code through NIDE’s designated administrative or grievance channels.
29.2 Reports should contain sufficient information to enable NIDE to understand and assess the concern.
29.3 NIDE may maintain appropriate records relating to reported misconduct and disciplinary proceedings, subject to applicable law and privacy requirements.
29.4 Knowingly making a materially false complaint with the intention of harming another person may constitute misconduct. However, a complaint made in good faith shall not be treated as misconduct merely because it is not substantiated.
30. Investigation and Review
30.1 Where NIDE receives a credible allegation of misconduct, NIDE may conduct a reasonable review or investigation.
30.2 Depending on the nature of the matter, NIDE may review relevant assignments, attendance records, communications, platform records, submissions, assessment records, placement records, employer feedback or other relevant information.
30.3 Where reasonably appropriate, the student may be informed of the allegation and given an opportunity to provide an explanation or relevant evidence before a final disciplinary decision is taken.
30.4 The level and procedure of review may reasonably vary depending on the seriousness, urgency and nature of the alleged misconduct.
30.5 Nothing in this Code prevents NIDE from taking immediate temporary protective measures where reasonably necessary to protect students, faculty, staff, clients, employers, confidential information, systems, institutional relationships or other legitimate interests.
31. Interim Measures
31.1 Pending review of serious allegations, NIDE may temporarily restrict access to classes, assessments, client accounts, confidential materials, placement activities or other NIDE resources, or impose other reasonable protective measures.
31.2 Interim measures are not, by themselves, a finding that the student committed misconduct.
32. Disciplinary Actions
32.1 Depending on the nature, seriousness, frequency and circumstances of a violation, NIDE may take one or more of the following actions:
a. verbal or written warning;
b. counselling or corrective instruction;
c. requirement to repeat or resubmit academic work;
d. cancellation or withholding of an assessment result;
e. restriction from a particular activity;
f. suspension of access to specified NIDE resources;
g. suspension from classes or programme activities;
h. suspension or withdrawal of placement-related benefits or eligibility where permitted under the applicable Placement Policy;
i. recovery of costs or losses to the extent legally permissible;
j. probation or continued enrolment subject to specified conditions;
k. suspension of enrolment; or
l. termination of enrolment/admission.
32.2 NIDE may determine the appropriate disciplinary action based on the circumstances rather than applying an identical penalty to every violation.
32.3 Serious misconduct may justify immediate interim suspension or other protective measures and may justify termination without a prior warning where reasonably warranted by the circumstances and applicable law.
33. Termination of Enrolment
33.1 NIDE may terminate a student’s enrolment/admission where the student commits serious misconduct, repeatedly violates this Code or other applicable NIDE policies, engages in fraud or academic dishonesty, materially breaches confidentiality, misuses NIDE or client systems, engages in harassment or threats, deliberately misuses NIDE’s name or partner relationships, or otherwise engages in conduct that makes continued enrolment reasonably untenable.
33.2 Termination may also be considered where a student fails to comply with a reasonable disciplinary direction or continues materially non-compliant conduct after being given an opportunity to correct it.
33.3 Where appropriate, NIDE may provide the student with notice of the proposed disciplinary action and a reasonable opportunity to provide an explanation before final termination.
33.4 In cases involving serious or urgent risks to safety, security, confidentiality, academic integrity, clients, employers, institutional relationships or NIDE’s operations, NIDE may impose immediate interim suspension or access restrictions while the matter is reviewed.
33.5 Termination of enrolment does not automatically entitle the student to a refund. Any refund shall be determined strictly in accordance with the applicable Admission Terms & Conditions, Refund Policy, Placement Policy and applicable law.
34. Effect on Placement Guarantee and Refund Eligibility
34.1 A student enrolled under a Placement Guarantee programme must remain continuously compliant with the applicable Placement Assurance & Placement Guarantee Policy.
34.2 Conduct that results in suspension, disqualification or termination may also result in suspension or loss of placement guarantee eligibility where provided under the Placement Policy.
34.3 A student cannot obtain a placement guarantee refund by relying solely on the expiry of the 180-working-day guarantee period where the student has become materially ineligible through non-compliance, misconduct, unavailability or other disqualifying conduct.
34.4 Nothing in this Code shall be interpreted as creating an additional refund right beyond the applicable Refund Policy and Placement Guarantee Policy.
35. Legal Remedies
35.1 Where a student’s conduct involves conduct that may give rise to legal rights or remedies, NIDE may, where legally permissible and reasonably appropriate, take available civil, criminal, regulatory or other legal action.
35.2 Such circumstances may include fraud, forgery, threats, harassment, impersonation, unlawful disclosure, misuse of confidential information, intellectual-property infringement, unauthorised access, deliberate material deception or other actionable misconduct.
35.3 Disciplinary action under this Code and any separate legal remedy are independent matters. Taking disciplinary action does not prevent NIDE from pursuing an otherwise available legal remedy.
35.4 Nothing in this section shall be interpreted as preventing a student from exercising any lawful right, remedy, defence or grievance mechanism available under applicable law.
36. Communication and Notice
36.1 NIDE may communicate policies, disciplinary directions, academic requirements and other relevant information through email, LMS, student portal, WhatsApp or official messaging groups, telephone, faculty, academic coordinators, placement coordinators or other reasonable communication channels.
36.2 Students are responsible for maintaining accurate contact information and regularly monitoring the communication channels used for their programme.
36.3 Students shall not deliberately ignore or obstruct reasonable communications relating to academic, administrative, disciplinary or placement matters.
37. No Waiver of Mandatory Legal Rights
37.1 Nothing in this Code is intended to exclude, restrict or waive any mandatory right, statutory protection, legal remedy or grievance mechanism available to a student under applicable law.
37.2 Where any provision of this Code is inconsistent with a mandatory requirement of applicable law, the mandatory legal requirement shall prevail to the extent of such inconsistency.
38. Policy Amendments
38.1 NIDE may amend this Code from time to time to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory requirements, academic practices, technology, programme structure, institutional requirements or operational requirements.
38.2 Updated versions may be communicated through reasonable official channels used by NIDE.
39. Binding Effect of Enrolment
39.1 By completing the admission/enrolment process, making payment towards the programme, accepting the admission offer, attending classes or otherwise commencing participation in the programme, the student acknowledges and agrees to comply with this Student Code of Conduct.
39.2 The student’s continued participation in the programme is subject to compliance with this Code and other applicable NIDE policies.
39.3 A separate physical or electronic signature on this Code is not required for its application where the student’s enrolment/admission has been accepted subject to NIDE’s applicable policies and terms.
39.4 By continuing to participate in the programme after the Code has been made available to the student, the student shall be deemed to have acknowledged the applicable conduct requirements, subject always to mandatory rights and protections under applicable law.
40. GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL & OFFICIAL COMMUNICATION CHANNEL
40.1 Official Grievance Channel
For any grievance, complaint, concern, request for clarification, academic issue, administrative matter, placement-related concern, refund-related concern, or any other issue relating to the student’s enrolment or participation with NIDE, the student is required to raise the matter through NIDE’s official grievance channel:
Email: admissions@nideofficial.com
Students should provide sufficient details, relevant documents, screenshots and other supporting information, wherever applicable, to enable NIDE to properly review and address the matter.
40.2 Official Address
Students may also submit written correspondence to NIDE at its official office address:
National Institute of Digital Education (NIDE), 6th Floor, MSR North City, Nagawara, Bangalore, Karnataka, India – 560045
40.3 Official Communication
Students are expected to use the above official grievance channel for all formal complaints, concerns and requests relating to their programme, fees, academics, placement, refund, certification, conduct or other institutional matters.
Communications made through unofficial personal accounts, individual faculty or staff members, social media platforms or third-party channels shall not ordinarily be treated as a formal grievance unless NIDE expressly accepts or redirects such communication through its official grievance process.
40.4 Reasonable Opportunity for Resolution
Students are expected to provide NIDE a reasonable opportunity to review and resolve any grievance through the official grievance channel before escalating the matter through other channels, wherever reasonably practicable.
NIDE will make reasonable efforts to review genuine grievances and provide an appropriate response in accordance with its applicable policies and procedures.
40.5 Genuine Grievances and Legal Rights
The submission of a grievance does not, by itself, constitute misconduct. However, knowingly submitting false, fabricated, fraudulent, materially misleading or malicious information, documents or allegations, or deliberately misrepresenting facts in connection with a grievance, may constitute a violation of this Student Code of Conduct and may result in appropriate action under applicable NIDE policies.
